However, it was during his travels that Yvan Bourgnon witnessed the devastation caused by pollution, overfishing and climate change on the oceans. He was shocked by the degradation of marine ecosystems and felt the compelling need to do something to protect these natural gems. This is how he decided to fully commit to the defense of the oceans.
Yvan Bourgnon founded SeaCleaners, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting plastic pollution in the oceans. Its revolutionary vessel, the Manta, is equipped with cutting-edge technology to collect, sort and recycle floating plastic waste.
